Trust M3
The winning project for Sync the City 2022

Problem
Problem
Employers often have no way to verify if a candidate’s CV is accurate.
This creates uncertainty and can lead to poor hiring decisions and financial losses.

Insight
Insight
Skills and experience could be verified through trusted sources—like previous employers
or institutions.Using NFTs and blockchain offers a secure, tamper-proof way to validate that information, helping build trust in the recruitment process.

Solution
Solution
We built Trust M3, a platform that uses NFTs to validate CVs, with each token issued by a
verified source. As one of two designers, I helped shape the user experience from the ground up—starting with brand research and early wireframes.
Each designer tackled key screens (like the CV view), then worked collaboratively to review, refine, and bring everything together into a clean, consistent interface.

Outcomes
Delivered and presented a working MVP of Trust M3 at Sync the City, showcasing how blockchain can bring trust and transparency to recruitment.
Worked within an agile design flow—rapidly sketching, testing, and refining UI screens to build a clear, consistent user experience.
Collaborated with a cross-functional team to develop and pitch a concept that rethinks how we validate skills and experience.

Interactive app screens
Design & Development
Low-fidelity Wireframes
Due to the fast pace of the hackathon, we jumped straight into low-fidelity wireframing to get ideas down quickly. Working closely as a team, we shared designs and gathered feedback in real time. We tested key screens within the Trust M3 team, and used that input to make fast, informed changes and shape a user experience that felt intuitive from the start.

Design & Development
Mid-fidelity Wireframes
With wireframes in place, we focused on visual direction—looking at tone, colour, and overall style. We explored gradients, soft shapes, and layered effects to add depth and clarity.
Inspiration came from futuristic UI trends and bitcoin apps, using neon accents and glass-like elements to give the design a clean, modern edge that matched the concept of verified digital credentials.

High-fidelity Wireframes
We brought the interface to life using a dark, futuristic palette, soft gradients, and rounded shapes to reflect the blockchain theme. The screens were designed to feel clean, intuitive, and cohesive across the product.
To fully show how Trust M3 works, we added click-and-drag interactions, allowing users to build and customise their CV using verified NFTs. This made the experience more dynamic and helped communicate the product’s core function in a clear, hands-on way.

B2B Interface
Low-fidelity Wireframes
Low-fidelity Wireframes
After building the B2C app, I designed a B2B interface to help employers browse applicants and view verified CVs.
Wireframes included:
An employee finder with search by role
Project views with linked applicants
CV pages showing NFT-verified experience
This helped map out how businesses could use the platform to recruit with more clarity and confidence.

The B2B screens brought the employer-facing side of Trust M3 to life, with a clean layout that aligned visually with the rest of the app. We refined core features like tag-based search, role-specific filtering, and applicant overviews—keeping things focused, functional, and easy to navigate.
Although it started as an additional concept, the B2B app quickly became a natural extension of the Trust M3 ecosystem—designed to give recruiters a clear, no-fuss way to browse talent and view verified experience.

Personalised NFT
As part of the hackathon, I created a custom Trust M3 NFT using Illustrator and Photoshop. During the final presentations, attendees could scan a QR code to collect it—marking their involvement in Sync the City.
While it was made just for the event, the idea tied straight into the wider concept: using NFTs to represent real experience. In theory, this could sit alongside verified work history in the app, acting as a digital badge for hands-on, collaborative skills.

Conclusion
Trust M3 came together in just 54 hours, with a team I’d only met 2.5 days before—which made the whole thing even more rewarding. It was my first time working directly with developers and a great intro to an agile workflow. We had to move quickly, make smart decisions under pressure, and stay open to constant feedback. Despite the time crunch, we built something we were proud of—and the whole experience proved what a solid team can pull off when everyone's fully in it. And as a bonus,
we won!

"…you were a true credit to our team. Truly impressive work"
